This website is a quick summary of my written and recorded work over the past few years. Several of the books listed here can be read as PDF files; the music link gets you to my Youtube channel.  Thank you for visiting!

A NEW SLAPDASH CD!

The most recent Slapdash CD has a slightly

rebellious aspect to it - I have economised by

not having it professionally duplicated, or having

flashy on-CD label printing.  Instead, the cash

I would have spent on that has gone to North

Norfolk Aid for Ukraine.  In true home-made

Slapdash style, the CD is duplicated on data CDs with no label!   This doesn't matter - they play to remarkably high high quality on CD players, car etereos and computers.  And there is no selling price - if you like it, please donate a few quid to North Norfolk Aid for Ukraine. Just ask for one and make sure I have your address!

BOOKS:

The most recent work is the series of Little Fella stories, aimed at children.  These are the adventures

of a little black and white dog, who bears a remarkable resemblance to our own!

The first story,The Very Hot Day, is a warning against the dangers of leaving a dog

in a car in hot sunshine, and I have always hoped this would be taken up by

schools and dog charities.  Three others, The Smugglers' Path, Trouble on

the Two-Fifteen, and Little Fella and the Thunder of Tiny Paws (my favourite title!)

are all adventure stories.  They are available in one book from Amazon,

but you can read them as a PDF here! (Click the cover)  Sales from the

book, also sold by various outlets around North Norfolk,

go to Ukraine-support charities.

I spent many years editing a magazine for the coffee-house trade, and it is said that

our book Coffee House Capers is the funniest one ever written on the subject. We have

no paper versions left any more, but again you can read it here  (click the cover)

I have spent a vast number of years as a largely-unsuccessful musician, in seventy or more

bands - but how did such a musician record a million-seller and see no money from it?

Just one of the stories from Are You With the Band?, which can be read here.

For the charity Health Help International, I wrote a little report on their work

with the destitute sick in south-west India - the result, Neesha and the Tentmakers,

can be read here. Some of the conditions they work in are chilling... believe me,

there is nothing quite like the destitutes' ward of Trivandrum general hospital. You don't                                       want to go there...

For the same charity, I collected a number of inspirational sayings and quotations,

published under the title Ya Ain't a Loser Till Ya Quits Tryin! (typical of the quotes

in the book!)  This can be bought from Amazon, but you can read it here.

MUSIC

I don't play in bands any more (unless there are any offers!) but do a lot of home recording,

and a couple of collections have made it to CD, usually sold for charity.  There are fifty

selections here, of all kinds of guitar and mandolin music!
